Making connections between business and the community
Why Connect?
Businesses do not exist in isolation to their surroundings. They are integral parts of the communities in which they are situated and the location of any business is a major factor in its success. For many years the private sector has been engaging with local communities in a socially responsible way and they do this because they have realised the direct benefits it can bring to their businesses as well as their city.
By connecting with the community, businesses can raise their profile, reach new customers and become more successful. However, this is not just about the bottom line. Informed and engaged staff is key to a successful business and by involving them in challenging activities outside the normal working environment they can improve their own communication and management skills thus becoming more valuable and versatile employees.
Regardless of why people or businesses choose to engage with their community, the ultimate effect is the same; a better environment in which to live and work.
Hull needs all its businesses to play their part; this website will show you how.
