NHS Hull - Hull Healthy Hearts

Your business can support employee health with free workplace assessment from Hull Healthy Hearts.
Description:
HHH provides a free Cardiovascular Disease(CVD) 10-year risk assessment to people aged 40-64 for local workplaces, businesses and shopping centres.
The official launch event for businesses and workplaces will be in May, however we will be able to start going into businesses in April. Aunt Bessie’s of Kingston upon Hull are already interested with this free service.
Work places have an important role in supporting people’s health. Hull Healthy Hearts (HHH) is a ‘community based’ project funded by NHS Hull with the aim to help reduce the life expectancy gap between Hull and the national average. 30% of this gap is caused by Cardiovascular Disease (CVD).
Helping Hand
If your business does not have the facilities available, HHH has a custom made ‘Booth’ which provides the employee with privacy during the assessment. The assessments are carried out by specially trained Health Improvement Practitioners.

Giving you the employee something back
Employees are given a personalised ‘healthy heart’ pack. This pack contains results from the assessment and advice on how to reduce the CVD risk. After each assessment a letter is sent to their General Practitioner (GP) listing the employee’s results, providing GP’s the option to invite the client for further investigation if necessary.
