Social Enterprises, charities, community and voluntary organisations play a vital role in our city. A thriving third sector is vital to Hull’s economic and social regeneration and the private sector has a crucial role to play in supporting this sector. Many community and voluntary groups welcome the close relationship between the public, private and third sector that has been formed through the Local Strategic Partnership and we want to develop further this constructive link.
Whether it be contributing time as a non executive director on a charity board, acting as an informal adviser or becoming a trading partner the opportunities for connecting with the community sector are numerous and the benefits tangible.

The award winning Hull based Dads Against Drugs charity are travelling with a team of eight young people from Endeavour High School and Wolfreton High School to Johannesburg's Alexandra Township for the 2010 Football for Hope Festival organised by streetfootballworld and supported by FIFA. The Festival is an oficial FIFA World Cup event with 32 teams from all over the world participating. DADS was selected because of its outstanding social development and contribution through football.
